The clan
Sanguine Oath is an Old School RuneScape clan built around people who actually play. There is no minimum total level, no application form and no interview. There is an expectation that you turn up, help out, and do not scam anyone.
Joining
- Join the Discord. Everything runs there. discord.gg/QbPDPm9dfJ
- Read the rules and press the button. One click, and you are in.
- Link your RuneScape name. Your clan rank then appears in Discord on its own and follows you as you climb.
- Ask for an invite in game. A staff member adds you to the clan and to the Wise Old Man group, which is what feeds this entire site.
Events
Two competitions run every week: skill of the week and boss of the week. The clan votes on Friday, the ballot closes on Sunday, and the winner becomes a real Wise Old Man competition and a Discord event automatically. Nobody has to remember to run them, which is exactly why they still happen.
Alongside those there are drop parties, bingos and buy-in events. Those are announced in Discord, and entering is one button.
Ranks
Fifteen rune ranks, Air through Wrath. Air to Law come with time served. Everything above Law is earned through turning up, helping and contributing, and staff agree on a promotion before it happens. There is no way to buy one. See the full ladder.
Why this site never disagrees with Discord
Both read the same Wise Old Man group. Neither keeps its own copy of who is in the clan or what rank they hold. If the roster changes in game, this page and the Discord server both change on their own, which removes the oldest bug in clan management: three places saying three different things because only one of them got updated.
